I hope you enjoy exploring my paintings as much as I did painting them. I work from life in order to capture the essence of the subject matter I am depicting. Painting from life allows me to see the colors more clearly and paint the emotions I feel at the time. I not only see the colors better, but I can feel them. One of my favorite quotes goes "A good artist paints what he sees, but a great artist paints what he feels".
My preferred medium is oils, but I occasionally work with other media. I paint a variety of subjects including portraits, landscapes, and still lifes.
